Life Education

Today we went to see Harold, in the life educational caravan. First we got into partners, then Mrs Smith couldn't open the caravan door so Jo had to open the door for us! We were learning about our brain, heart, lungs and things like that. We were working on the brainy bunch. We talked about stress. And we saw TAM and her body parts light up. Then we watched a couple of clips. The first clip was about a boy with a new bike and his friend wanted to do some jumps. The boy showed us three different ways of saying no. They were: Passive, Assertive and Aggressive. It was really fun there. We hope to go there again next year.

Mona Minum and the Smell of the Sun.

In room 1 we were reading a book called Mona Minum and the smell of the sun. I thought it was cute, because Mona Minum saves the day and she saves the queen, which is her best friend. The book is written by Janet Frame. Mona Mium is one of the best ants in the colony ,Mona Mium is a house ant. She was going out for her first time. She is also one of the characters. In the middle there is a boy who catches them, then Mona comes and saves the day. Most of the young ants like Mona Minum. It was very cool and I learnt more about ants.-Victoria

Back to Before

A few weeks ago, we had people peforming a show called Back to Before. As we headed into the hall, we got a warm wecome from the actors. It took along time for everyone to get settle in. Then the show started with a boy named Sam. After school Sam went to Mrs Mc Tock's house. Sam was not sure about going to Mrs Mc Tock's house. Mrs Mc Tock was crazy to Sam at the start. As he went into Mrs Mc Tock's house, Mrs Mc Tock started to be crazy.Mrs Mc Tock, asked Sam to help her find the hour glass. Sam found the hour glass he picked it up, upside-down, and the time-keeper appeared.He told Sam, "If you don't guess all of the questions right, you will stay in here forever! Then a girl named Katie told Sam that she had been trapped in the time-keepers game. Sam told her that he had just seen the time-keeper."Hey, Katie, how long have you been in here?" Asked Sam
" A very long time, but I just don't know how long."Replied Katie.
Then they kissed, and said goodbye.
Then Sam said,"If you need help, call cooe cooe."
In ten minutes, Sam heard a ,"COOEE COOEE."and then realised it was Mrs Mc Tock.
All of us had a great time at the show.
