Soccer Coaching

At the start of the term, Room 1 have been learning soccer skills .
We have met two Lower Hutt coaches and they both speak Spanish. One is called Nico and the other one is called Lois.
They don't speak proper English but are really good at soccer.
We have learned lots of new tricks each day and play lots of fun games everyday. Today we are doing soccer.

Planting Trees

On Wednesday, Mrs Skencle taught Room1 about trees and plants.
Mrs Skencle said "My passion is planting". She gave us some trees to plant.
These are the trees she taught us about; pohutukawa, flax,kowhai and kiori trees.
The whole class planted their trees in different parts of the school .
I thought our gardens were the best with more plants!

Book Week Parade

Last term we had a book parade-and believe me there were a lot of different costumes.
Some of us were things like fairies and animals, while others were adventurists and heroes, like Indiana Jones and Spiderman.

The most popular character of all was... Harry Potter!

Along with Harry Potter there was a Neville and some other creatures.
My favourite characters were the little fairy tale creatures from rooms 4,5 and 6.
I thought everyone was so fantastic in their costumes-it looked pretty realistic.
It was as if the netball court had turned into a book itself with all the stories inside it.
