D2P Report

Rooms 9,1,2 and 3 have been to the Dowse Interchange to learn about bridges. R1 have been doing D2P reports.
We first got in pairs and a piece of paper to put our ideas down. After that, we joined our 

ideas into our draft writing books. After all that, was the time to publish our piece of work and put it into paragraphs. FI- NA- LLY our reports were finished.

Tut Pup

In room 1, we have been learning to use tut pup this term. You can play maths, algebra and spelling. You can make your own login, for example Black seal 42 and Red bat 62, and you make your own password. We sometimes play against each other. Tut pup is really fun and everyone likes playing  it. 

It's been  good having tut pup to do maths ,algebra and spelling for homework.

D2P Comic Lifes

While we were on our D2P trip, Mrs Smith took some photos. Then Mrs Smith put these photos on to the computer.

We used these photos to make a D2P comic on Comic Life. This is how we made them. First, we chose a template that we put the photos we wanted on to. Second, we typed the answer on one of the photos. Third, we put some speech bubbles on the page. Fourth, we put a title and our name on the page and saved it. Most of the class had to fix their one up.

The Netball Tournament

On Monday the 25th August, 2008, rooms 1 and 2 went  to a netball tournament  

We played four games. It was 7 min and then it was half time in the game. Our netball  team was called primer 1 and another team was called mixed 1. Primer 1 played Kelson, Belmont & two 

Maungaraki School teams.  The mixed 1 teams played Raphael House. We had a great time.          

                                                                                                                                                                                              

Olympic Games

NZ has won 9 medals - 1 silver, 5 bronze  and 3 golds - in  the  Olympic  Games this year.

Michael Phelps has won 8 gold medals. He broke the Olympic record of 7 gold medals. People have been protesting about the Olympics being in Beijing, China. I hope we can get enough money to hold the games in NZ.
